Coyote Trip adventures that visit Yosemite:
Yosemite National Park is America’s most well known and most visited park, and for good reason! This vast area of natural beauty spans over 3000 square kilometres, making it almost the size of Rhode Island. The valleys are home to gorgeous river-side hikes where, if you’re lucky, you may even spot a bear in the distance. Up from the valley there are huge rocky mountains to climb offering stunning views as the reward. You can spend days in Yosemite, swimming in the pools and under waterfalls, camping under the clear night-sky, and hiking until your heart’s content. A trip to America isn’t complete without a visit to this stunning park.
Canyons to California adventure
It’s an obvious choice, but there’s nothing quite like The Grand Canyon. Huge canyons and valleys spread before you for hundreds of miles of rich-red rock. There are all sorts of ways to explore The Grand Canyon, and our favourite is to hike through the canyon during the day and then head over to the southern rim to set up camp for the night and watch the sunset. We also learn all about the native American communities who lived there and the geological history of the Canyon. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle to see and experience.
Canyons to California adventure
Las Vegas isn’t just strips of hotels and casinos, it is actually surrounded by stunning rocky landscapes. One of the most popular hikes is the Red Rock Canyon. An array of beautiful wildlife and plants make this destination ideal for hiking, camping, and driving. This National Conservation Area provides a welcome escape from the intense environment of the city, but with oppressive heat and burning sun, be sure to plan your trip well!
The world’s first ever National Park deserves a visit! Yellowstone is a stunning National Park spread over an incredible 2.2 million acres… making it the perfect destination for a few days of hiking and exploring. Plan your hikes beforehand and be sure to study a map of the park, it’s one to be organised for. Enjoy waterfalls, hot springs and lush forests, whilst looking out for the interesting and diverse wildlife that roams. Our favourite part is the Grand Prismatic Spring, a hot spring that boasts beautiful rainbow colours!
Now Zion is always a magical visit. Not only is it full of beautiful red-canyon hikes, but a central river leads to the ethereal emerald pools. These beautiful pools glow a gorgeous green, contrasting the red rock surrounding them. Amongst them are numerous waterfalls and even a hanging garden. Throughout the hike you will witness stunning canyon formations and caves, making a visit to Zion National Park one you won’t forget!
