21 day USA Group Tour- The Full Coyote
Our flagship USA group tour takes in a huge number of the nation's highlights. Starting in New York and then taking in the East's historical cities and charming coastline before flying over to the West. A natural playground of Canyons, national parks and the Pacific coast awaits. This 3 week tour is jam-packed with unmissable attractions and cultural discoveries.
These 3 weeks will give you a real insight into the breadth and beauty of the United States. Packed with activities- you’ll camp in the Grand Canyon, sample lobster in Cape Cod, marvel at the NYC skyline, in-line skate on Venice Beach, surf in the Pacific Ocean, hike in Yosemite, cycle the Golden Gate Bridge to name just a few of the highlights on this incredible American adventure.

Day 1-2: New York City
Take in the sights and sounds of one of the world's most exciting cities. Marvel at the stunning skyline, gaze at the Statue of Liberty and learn about the impact of 9/11 at the Freedom Tower. Discover Brooklyn's hipster districts, do a morning's yoga in Central Park and stroll The High Line.

Day 2-3: Washington D.C
Wander amidst some of the most famous and impressive buildings on the planet with our D.C walking tour taking in the White House and the striking memorials. Take part in a memorable morning work-out on the steps on the Lincoln Memorial. Dive into the city's renowned jazz scene in one of the city's buzzing bars.

Day 4-5: Philadelphia
Jog up the famous Rocky steps and feel like a superstar. Admire the city's architecture and take in one of the country's most important symbols: The Liberty Bell. Enjoy some of the local sports from basketball in the morning to the equally intense beer pong.

Day 5 (+7-8): Boston
Follow historical footsteps on a journey of discovery on the fascinating Freedom Trail. Witness whales in their natural habitat- way out into the ocean. Sample oysters, learn how to cook clam chowder and enjoy live comedy on a typical Boston night out.

Day 6-7: Cape Cod
Enjoy a gorgeous cycle ride to the charming town of Provincetown. Wander amidst artisan food stores, local craft shops and beach-side bars. Check out the stunning nature reserve and relax on the beach. Try some local lobster and grab an ocean-side drink in this "Oasis on the Cape."

Day 8-10: Las Vegas
Experience all the excitement of Sin City with its array of majestic hotels, casinos and all forms of entertainment! Sleep, in style, at a hotel on The Strip. Unwind at a pool party or ride the rollercoasters within the hotels themselves. Walk up to the Vegas sign for an iconic picture!

Day 10-12: The Grand Canyon
Marvel at the desolate beauty of this wilderness wonderland. Gaze out at the myriad of stunning views and absorb millennia's worth of history. Discover more about the heritage of the place as we camp out, under the stars. Hike amidst the canyon and sample bourbon, at night, amidst tranquil stillness.

Day 12-13: Flagstaff
Enter real life again after our experience in the Grand Canyon. Wander around this charming Arizona town and visit a Gun Club to hear about this aspect of American culture. Enjoy a local brew with a visit to a craft brewery.

Day 13: Route 66
Gaze out of the window at the changing landscape on this world-famous route as we make our way through the desert to Los Angeles. Enjoy the comfort of the bus and imagine how tough this route must have been for migrants seeking work in California in the 1920s.

Day 14-15: Los Angeles
Enjoy the delights of Los Angeles and discover some of the city's distinct areas. In-line skate along Venice Beach's boardwalk and grab a fro-yo at Santa Monica Pier. Hike up to the Hollywood Sign, stroll the Walk of Fame and enjoy a night out in L.A. Visit one of the city's theme parks or help us out at a local soup kitchen.

Day 16-17: Santa Cruz
Ride one of world's most scenic trains along the beautiful Pacific Coast and admire the ocean views. Absorb the stunning setting of Santa Cruz with its myriad of white-sand beaches. Learn how to surf or go for a dip amidst this little slice of California paradise.

Day 18-19: Yosemite
Camp amidst the natural splendour of this gem of a National Park. Hike amidst the natural splendour and take in the abundant wildlife, wild waterfalls and jagged cliffs. Dip in the water and enjoy the constant stunning panoramas of the surroundings.

Day 20-21: San Francisco
Cycle across the impressive Golden Gate Bridge and view the city from the other side of the water. Discover the stories of Alcatraz from this island prison. Bar hop through some of the city's finest areas and take in the atmosphere of this unique city.
The Full Coyote: USA Group Tour
Day 1- New York
Your Full Coyote USA group tour begins in the world’s most iconic city: New York. This buzzing metropolis has been the inspiration for so much popular culture and our adventure leaders will enable you to unlock the magic of The Big Apple. Kick things off with an afternoon wandering through Manhattan. Uncover the recent tragic events of 9/11 and admire the resilient spirit of the locals with a trip to the Freedom Tower and 9/11 Memorial. Wander across the striking Brooklyn Bridge before an evening bar-hopping through one of Brooklyn’s hippest districts: Williamsburg.
Day 2- New York
You could choose to do a morning’s yoga session in Central Park that will have you feeling like a New Yorker and then like a Friends character with a trip to a coffee-house. We will all take the ferry over to one of the city’s famous attractions: The Statue of Liberty. Marvel at the granduer of this American symbol and grab the obligatory photo. Or choose more stunning photo opportunities with a full N.Y.C skyline panorama from the top of the Empire State Buliding. Bid farewell to the “City that never sleeps” as we head over to the nation’s capital, Washington D.C
Day 3- Washington D.C
There can be few finer spots to start the day than our sunrise experience out on the steps on Lincoln Memorial. We’ll then guide you through the treasure trove of stellar sights with a city tour taking in the White House, Capitol Hill and the National Mall. There’s also a chance to check out the city’s museums including the African American History Museum and visit the Martin Luther King Memorial. After a busy, walking day; we’ll relax in the park before an evening at a local jazz bar or join our hostel’s board game night.
Day 4- Philadelphia
We’ll take the short train ride to Philadelphia. No trip to Philly would be complete without sampling the legendary Philly Cheese steaks and our favourite spot will not disappoint. Burn off those calories by doing the Rocky run up the steps of the Museum of Art and see the world-renowned Liberty Bell. Take part in a ghost tour and learn about the city’s haunted history. That evening – we’ll head over to Fishtown where we’ll admire the urban art and take part in another quintessentially American activity: beer pong!
Day 5- Boston
Head up the coast towards Boston – a city packed with history, culture and great coffee! That evening, either check out a Red Sox game or laugh the night away with an Improv Comedy performance.
Day 6 – Boston
Head out to the ocean for a spot of whale-watching. View these impressive sea creatures with awesome views of the harbour on your return to Beantown. Having feasted your eyes on the ocean- now satisfy your taste buds with Lobster rolls in the heart of the city. Discover the city’s fascinating history with our specialist guide on The Freedom Trail as you follow the footsteps of the revolution! It’s then time to sample an oyster happy hour before testing your cooking skills with a clam chowder cooking class!
Day 7- Cape Cod
It’s now time for something totally different as head out to Cape Cod and experience the relaxed vibes of this gorgeous array of fishing towns. Take the ferry over to the Cape where we’ll cycle to the charming town of Provincetown. Stroll amidst the buzzing streets and check out the boutique shops and foodie scene. There’s also a nature reserve to discover and a beautiful stretch of beach to relax upon. Head back to Boston and enjoy dinner in one of the city’s famous Italian restaurants.
Day 8- Fly to Las Vegas
Start the day with a stroll around Harvard before we catch a flight (included in the price) to Las Vegas. This infamous den of vice, excitement and razzmatazz is home to some truly awe-inspiring hotels, casinos and plenty more. We’ll wander along the Strip and you can admire the neon majesty of the establishments lining the route. That night, we’ve splurged on the accomodation and it’s a night in a hotel on the Strip- live the Vegas lifestyle with an evening show, casino visit or dine out in the myriad of restaurant options!
Day 9- Las Vegas
Sleep in or head out to take a pic of the Vegas sign. We’ll also visit some of the striking hotels along the Strip. Feel like a Roman at Casear’s Palace, King Arthur in Excalibur or ride the rollercoasters of Circus Circus- we can guarantee it’ll never get dull. Take in the downtown delights of Fremont Street with a trip to a microbrewery, more casinos and a delicious BBQ dinner. If understatement is your thing- then Vegas might not be for you- but it’s a great, unique and utterly American experience!
Day 10- Grand Canyon
From the big-city buzz to another slice of Americana with a trip from the bright lights to the remote grandeur of the Grand Canyon. En route, we check out the engineering marvel that is the Hoover Dam! We’ll drive along part of Route 66 and check out the charming town of Williams and enjoy a local experience at a bar equipped with a whole range of games and drinks. We’ll then set up camp on the Southern Rim of the Canyon.
Day 11- Grand Canyon
An unforgettable day awaits as we step into the unknown with a full day out in the Canyon. Marvel at the majesty of the Canyon itself- a mile deep, 277 miles long and 18 miles wide- this National Park holds all the cards when it comes to mesmorising views. Discover the fascinating history of the Native American communities who lived here. Wander from one stunning panorama to the next and take incredible photos or soak up the surroundings. We don’t want to rush this experience so we’ll stay overnight, in the park, and sample bourbon whiskey under the stars as we take in 6 millions years of history. Please note you can walk at your own pace as the hikes themselves will not be guided but we’ll provide all the info and maps you need!
Day 12- Grand Canyon-Flagstaff
Bid farewell to the awesome grandeur of the Canyon. That afternoon, we’ll visit a gun club (optional) and hear more about how gun culture is a major part of the American pysche. Hear arguments from both sides about it’s impact and learn more about the history of guns in the U.S. Time to relax in Downtown Flagstaff- this charming town is nestled amidst the mountains and plays host to quaint restaurants, cafes and breweries. Lots of states are proud of our their local brew and we’ll give you plenty of opportunities to pick your favourite as we criss-cross the country. That evening we’ll stop off in downtown Vegas and you can check out the city’s local bar scene with a few of our favourite choices…
Day 13- Route 66
America is full of epic road trips and either gaze out of the window and take in the epic wilderness outside or relax and enjoy a movie with the free wi-fi on board. It’s a good day to recharge your batteries before another few days of action-packed adventures. There’s still fun to be had, that evening, with a chance to gaze at the stars from the Griffith Observatory. That evening – we’ll arrive to L.A- ready to discover the city’s headline acts over the next few days. You could also choose to do a beach-side walk in the gorgeous Santa Monica- where we are staying or check out a blues bar.
Day 14- Los Angeles
After a few days in the remote desert- it’s time for a taste of modern, city life in one of the world’s coolest cities: Los Angeles. We’ll start our time here with a volleyball lesson on the beach. You can then take part in an in-line skating experience along Venice Beach before cooling off with a frozen yoghurt. Whilst at Santa Monica Pier- we’ll take part in the Coyote Trip Arcade Challenge before a classic California burger lunch! That afternoon- venture up the famous Hollywood sign and look down at the city beneath. An evening in the city starts with a wander down Hollywood Boulevard and spot the stars on the Walk of Fame.
Day 15- Los Angeles
Today – you can visit one of the city’s famous theme parks. The delights of Universal Studios or Disneyland await and both are jam-packed with entertainment, fun and a fair bit of magic! We can help arrange your tickets and give you tips on the best rides, attractions and shows. Alternatively, we also arrange a chance to give something back to the LA community with a volunteering trip to one of the city’s soup kitchens. Poverty is a real issue in California and this project helps to give people a lifeline who are struggling in society.
Day 16- The Pacific Coast Highway- Santa Cruz
Another classic American trip awaits with a journey on the Pacific Coast Highway to Santa Cruz. This train along the coast is one of the world’s most scenic journeys and our end destination is another treat. Santa Cruz is a truly magnificent stop with an array of stunning beaches, relaxed vibes and Californian culture.
Day 17- Santa Cruz
Learn the art of surfing with a morning class out on the water. After riding the waves – or at worst, admiring the scenery from the board- head over to Point Market for a breakfast burrito. That afternoon- we’ve got time to enjoy the stellar setting. Wander along the boardwalk and take in the views or jump in the ocean. Epic views are a guarantee. Also try your hand at Mini Golf or ride some of the waterfront rides.
Day 18- Yosemite National Park
Get set for another totally different part of the state: Yosemite National Park. This park is home to dramatic waterfalls, forested beauty, still nature, majestic cliffs, abundant wildlife and a myriad of inspiring vistas. A place to absorb the magic of nature and we’ll immerse ourselves in the heart of this National Park. The hikes will be unguided but your adventure leader will give all the tips and routes required for an awesome adventure! Having burnt off a tonne of calories- sample some of the region’s finest wines with our Napa Valley wine-tasting experience!
Day 19- Yosemite National Park
You could jump in the pool or take a rural walk before we make our way back to urban life. It’s not just any city we are coming back to – but to one of the world’s most exciting places: San Francisco. This stunning water-side city has a whole array of delights for us to sink our teeth into. That evening, we’ll wander out on a city walking tour and check out some of the local bars.
Day 20- San Francisco
Stroll through the city streets and admire the city from atop some of the city’s steep streets. One highlight of any San Francisco experience is venturing across the Golden Gate Bridge and marvelling at both the feat of engineering and the impressive view of the bridge. We’ll do this experience on bikes and stop off in Sausalito for lunch. Head back into town, by ferry and your adventure leader will take you on a walking tour through some of city’s most charming districts.
Day 21- San Francisco
That morning – head to Alcatraz; this island prison played host to a number of the nation’s most ruthless criminals. Wander amidst the notorious site and consider whether there really was a genuine escape from here in the 1960s. Fortunately, you’ll get a return ticket so we can discover the charming Pier Area and then you can choose to take in some of the city’s art scene or head into Napa Valley for a wine tasting experience. It’s then time to bid farewell to the group and our action-packed USA group tour!

A deposit is required to make a reservation for this USA group tour, with the balance due 70 days prior to departure (unless booking with one of our promotions, for which specific balance due dates may apply).
The deposit is 10% of the USA group tour price (unless stated otherwise). If you book on to our tours less than 70 days prior to departure, the full balance will be due within 3 days of booking.
No bookings can be accepted within 40 days of a trip departure date of our USA group tour.
The price of a single room upgrade for the USA group tour is £2,150 and a double room upgrade for the USA group tour is £1,075 per person. This is because twins are the standard in various locations. We can arrange pre nights in New York and post nights in San Francisco as well.
