Day 1 – Las Vegas:
We’ll start our tour in one of nation’s most well-known cities: Las Vegas. This infamous den of vice, excitement and razzmatazz is home to some truly awe-inspiring hotels, casinos and plenty more. We’ll wander along the Strip and you can admire the neon majesty of the establishments lining the route. That night, we’ve splurged on the accomodation and it’s a night in a hotel on the Strip- live the Vegas lifestyle with an evening show, casino visit or dine out in the myriad of restaurant options!
Day 2- Las Vegas
Sleep in and then enjoy the Viva Las Vegas tour, see the Vegas sign, visit Area 15 and Fremont Street. Take in the downtown delights of Fremont Street with a trip to a microbrewery, more casinos and a delicious BBQ dinner. If understatement is your thing- then Vegas might not be for you- but it’s a great, unique and utterly American experience!
Day 3- Grand Canyon
From the big-city buzz to another slice of Americana with a trip from the bright lights to the remote grandeur of the Grand Canyon. En route, we check out the engineering marvel that is the Hoover Dam! We’ll drive along part of Route 66 and check out the rustic Seligman, birthplace of Route 66 and the inspiration for Cars by Disney-Pixar.
Day 4- Grand Canyon
An unforgettable day awaits as we step into the unknown with a full day out in the Canyon. Marvel at the majesty of the Canyon itself- a mile deep, 277 miles long and 18 miles wide- this National Park holds all the cards when it comes to mesmorising views. Discover the fascinating history of the Native American communities who lived here. Wander from one stunning panorama to the next and take incredible photos or soak up the surroundings. Please note you can walk at your own pace as the hikes themselves will not be guided but we’ll provide all the info and maps you need!
Day 5- Grand Canyon – Downtown Las Vegas
Bid farewell to the awesome grandeur of the Canyon, but first, try your hand at axe throwing or learn more about America’s complex relationship with guns during a visit to a shooting range. Enjoy lunch and shopping in the cowboy, hipster town of Williams, Arizona on Route 66. That evening we’ll stop off in downtown Vegas and you can check out the city’s local bar scene with a few of our favourite choices…
Day 6- Los Angeles
After a few days in the remote desert- it’s time for a taste of modern, city life in one of the world’s coolest cities: Los Angeles. See the sights and shops on the 3rd Street Promenade and grab dinner. Enjoy a sunset beach stroll and whilst at Santa Monica Pier- we’ll take part in the Coyote Trip Arcade Challenge!
Day 7- Los Angeles
We’ll start our time here with a volleyball lesson on the beach. Indulge in a classic California burger lunch! That afternoon- venture up the famous Hollywood sign and look down at the city beneath. An evening in the city starts with a wander down Hollywood Boulevard and spot the stars on the Walk of Fame. Watch the sunset over the city of angels and then explore the amazing Griffith Observatory.
Day 8- Los Angeles
Today – you can visit one of the city’s famous theme parks. The delights of Universal Studios or Disneyland await and both are jam-packed with entertainment, fun and a fair bit of magic! We can give you tips on the best rides, attractions and shows. Alternatively, we also arrange a chance to give something back to the LA community by volunteering with Heal the Bay, and help clean up the coastline.
