Because of San Francisco’s counter culture community, there is a great amount of diversity throughout the city. This means all kinds of cultures are celebrated and this influences everything from food to fashion!
The oldest and most storied enclave of Chinese immigrants outside of Asia inhabit San Francisco’s Chinatown, a definite must-see area of the city.
It makes for an exciting and original city which offers something new at every twist and turn. It also means that there is an incredible selection of museums to visit. San Francisco can offer every kind of food you can think of, and done to an incredible standard. Grab the best Chinese you’ve ever had, the tastiest Indian or even the spiciest Korean.
However, if you want to experience the city in a more authentic style then opt for some more traditional San Francisco food. Cioppino is a delicious seafood stew, try and find a restaurant that serves freshly caught fish and you will be astounded by this gorgeous dish.
This bridge is an infamous attraction in America, known for its iconic copper finish against the stunning landscape behind. On our Coyote Trips we make sure our Coyotes get a chance to cycle over the bridge to get the best photo opportunities possible!
A fun fact about this piece of structural architecture is that The colour for the Golden Gate Bridge was actually just a protective coat when it was being built. The architect loved it so much he wanted to keep it as it was!
Each street can offer you something different. Just a simple walk through this city is a brilliant activity. Pop into any of the boutique shops to pick up a special souvenir, or head up to Lombard Street (the famous zig-zag road).
As you stroll through the endless streets you’ll often stumble into lovely little markets or sudden and beautiful viewpoints. Try and find the ‘Painted Ladies’ , a row of colourfully painted houses!
